Common Applications
The JLY-CP100 can be used when checking for combustible gas leaks around R290 refrigeration systems, R600a refrigeration systems, propane/LPG equipment, natural-gas lines, gas appliances, valves, fittings, connections, pipelines and other equipment containing compatible combustible gases.
Excellent for R290 & R600a Refrigeration Service
With the increasing use of R290 propane and R600a isobutane refrigerants, technicians need appropriate equipment when working around these highly flammable A3 refrigerants.
The JLY-CP100 provides a convenient portable tool for checking for the presence of combustible gas around refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, coolers, commercial refrigeration equipment and other systems using R290 or R600a.
Important Refrigerant Information
This is a combustible-gas detector and should not be advertised as a universal refrigerant leak detector.
It is particularly suited to combustible gases such as R290 (propane) and R600a (isobutane). Detection of a particular gas depends on the instrument's sensor characteristics, concentration and operating conditions.
Do not assume the JLY-CP100 will detect refrigerants such as R134a, R410A, R404A, R407C or R22. For those refrigerants, use a leak detector specifically designed and rated for the refrigerant being serviced.
Safety
Gas detection equipment should be used by trained or qualified personnel when appropriate. Always follow the detector manufacturer's instructions and applicable safety procedures.
R290 and R600a are highly flammable A3 refrigerants. Keep ignition sources away from the work area and follow appropriate ventilation and refrigerant-handling procedures.
